Geoff I am intrigued. I have not heard or seen any reports of an Osprey in the area but you seem to have found one almost every day in the past week but you haven't given much information. Is it possible to give the dates and times together with the locations of ypur sightings - this would be of great interest to local bird watchers and probably the county recorder.

Have to agree with Trevor. Excellent pics Geoff but it would be nice to know where you have been getting these great views of this bird..

Geoff you still haven't given the location of this bird. Can you elaborate on the term "sensitive site" which you used recently. If you were there surely anyone else can be!!
Trevor Gunby   [Oct 22, 2016 at 03:15 PM]
It's simple Geoff. If public access to the site is allowed there is no need for secrecy, if not (e.g. the site is on private land) then I suggest the photos should not have appeared on here for fear of encouraging others to trespass on private land thus bringing bird watching into disrepute.

I guess no response makes the answer obvious!!

All images on the Wildlife Album are taken in Lincolnshire, for further information on Lincolnshire Birds, see http://www.lincsbirdclub.co.uk . The terms of the Wildlife and Countryside Act must be observed and licences obtained to photograph Schedule 1 species from the appropriate Statutory Nature Conservation Agency. The Lincsbirds photo Album does not encourage images of rare birds taken at the nest or with young - a copy of the appropriate licences must be available, otherwise your image will be removed.

The Bird Club was formed in 1979, to encourage and further an interest in the bird life, birding and birdwatching of the historic county of Lincolnshire, to collect and publish information on bird movements and bird populations, bird taxonomy, bird status, to encourage conservation of the wildlife of the county of Lincolnshire and to provide sound information on which bird conservation policies can be based.

Joining the Bird Club is a great way to make new birdwatching friends and contacts in Lincolnshire! If you are a "beginner", but keen to become actively involved in birding, you will find that learning about your county's wild birds - how, when and where to see them - is both easier and more enjoyable when undertaken in the company of our local enthusiasts. If you're already an active birdwatcher you can add another dimension to your birding by becoming involved in our varied local activities.
