Spotted an insect on back window so got camera out and got a few snaps, then went outside and the darn thing had gone farther up almost out of reach, managed a dozen snaps but from behind. Hoped it would come closer then all of a sudden it came too close and landed on my sweater just under my chin, so no chance of a photo or an ID unless it moved [I'm a bit squemish with insects climbing on me unless it's a Ladybird] anyway after a little persuasion it moved downwards, and got a few more snaps. I'm not 100% sure but from the photos in guide it looks like a Forest Bug, I thought it was a Sheild Bug at first cos they are similar.

In the kitchen on Tuesday (20th) teatime noticed summat going hell for leather across floor, got me glasses on and it was a Ladybird! Let it come on me hand and took it into the lounge and safely put it on the bookcase. Later while having a cuppa and watching telly it landed on the stool next to me. I turned telly off and watched it for a while it kept going round and round the edge of stool then flew onto the pouffe, then back onto the bookcase, then back onto the stool etc. It was far more entertaining than the telly  . Got my magnifying glass out to see how many spots it had = two. Then read the guide about them. It says they either hibernate outside or in the house.

Last I saw of it was on a pile of papers side of sofa, maybe it's gone under the sofa to hibernate.

Enjoyed it's company while it lasted :D

Cheers

Max
