Friday afternoon i went to see if my newly found little owl was about, sure enough he's sat perched on a telegraph pole..but not his usual but across the road.My eye drifts to another pole where a woodpecker is sat..i was getting excited thinking lesser spotted but upon checking pics its a juv great spotted but good to see.I was on night shift so before work i take another trip to see owl & locate him yards from where juv woody was..below was a peacock..what a picture that would of been but i had to take them seperate due to subjects too close..
After work i took a trip to alkborough hoping to see morning barny but stood below me was a deer..if i had my camera this too would of been a nice photo..but then a fox walks past him..another missed image..as i walk down the hill the deer is long gone but another fox shows up..i havnt seen a fox in ages & two show..i must get a compact bridge camera for these moments..i realise i have to walk back up the hill which i find hard enough never mind after a night shift, heading home i see peacock again & slow down to let a mouse wobble across the road..i must get out earlier & take along the camera..good things seem to happen when i leave the lens at home!
