As a new member just wanted to say hello, and thanks to this board for the interesting, precise and spot on info reported. As someone who is getting back into birding, after years of simply paying my RSPB membership I have found the Board invaluble. I have been mentioned a couple of times as Chris Grimshaw's enthusiasm is part of the reason I've got back into bird watching, and hav been out a few times on trips with him. I'm keen to learn, and accept I will make mistakes in identifying, so please help and introduce yourselves. I'm easy to recognise as very often my wife and her Guide Dog Jazz will be with me.

Hopefully my contributions will be helpful.

Welcome, Andrew. I'm pleased you enjoyed watching the Nottingham Trent University Peregrine full screen website....every time I seem to turn it on the chicks are being fed.
Regarding your first post on the LBC Bird Reports (2.52 pm 13 May) you may not know that "BirdGuides" had 'lifted' and reported your Fiskerton Fen Wood Sandpiper within 15 minutes...Congratulations. :D
