Lifer came in the form of 2 eclipse male Scaup showing east of the long path leading from the A149 to the North Hide!

Welcome to the Life List, Scaup!

Assorted highlights:

Marsh Harrier - 3
Peregrine - 1
Sparrowhawk - 1

Little Stint - 2
Black-tailed Godwit - at least 300
Curlew - 10
Curlew Sandpiper - 1 (my first unassisted, independent identification for this species)
Avocet - 5
Lapwing - several large flocks
Oystercatcher - 20
Dunlin - many
Redshank - 400-ish
Ruff - about 30

Yellow-legged Gull - 1
Common Gull - 6
Common Tern - 1
Gannet - 6 through, seen from shingle beach
Cormorant - 20, several doing wing-drying posture

Cetti's Warbler - 1
Bearded Reedling - 6 pinging in reeds

Parents spent the time I was wandering around Cley at Blakeney. They reported a Barn Owl hunting just outside the village. I felt somewhat peeved!

Congrats Katherine
Its nice to get a Lifer, it gets harder every year to grab one with out going on a twitch.
And a nice selection of bird you had on your trip, thanks for sharing.
