A 2 day visit to this wonderful reserve gave us a good list, some of the better ones are, Terns, common, little and Sandwich about 500+ 1 Ruff in full plumage Hobby, 4 all giving good views Marsh Harriers, lots Spotted Redshank 2 Cetti Warblers, seen 4 and heard 7 all at different locations Bitterns, 3, have not had a good breeding year. Avocets again 50+ On the Heath, the Dartford Warblers were hard to find, but managed 3, but the Stonechats were more accommodating. Regards, Mike Surr |
