Post subject:  Bempton Cliffs 31/3/10 - Alpine Swift

Alpine Swift x1 (flying around the car park at 1:20pm today before flying off south along the cliffs) Very distinctive bird, with good close views. Large Swift, dark above, showing white belly and chin.

Other Highlights included:
Kestrel x1
Tree Sparrow x60+
Yellowhammer x1
Linnet x1
Goldfinch x3
Greenfinch x4
Kittiwake x1000s
Gannet x1000s
Guillemot x1000s
Razorbill x100s
Fulmar x100s
Meadow Pipit x2
Skylark x5
Lesser Black-backed Gull x2
Herring Gull x500
Rock Dove x700
Reed Bunting x5
Great Tit x1
Blue Tit x1
Pied Wagtail x2

Also 1 Swallow on the way home flying along the M18 near junction 6
