Just got back from week staying near Rhayadar. Most relaxing. Can certainly recommend the mountain road between Rhayadar and Aberystwyth which had chats (wheatears, whinchats and stonechats) all along the roadside plus possibility of ring ouzels. Woodlands in Elan Valley great for pied flycatchers, wood warblers and redstarts. Red Kite feeding station near Aberystwyth produced 90-100 birds.
Moth-trapping pretty good with silver hook being my best find. Cheers Brian
