Called last Friday [ 9th ] on way home from Leeds. Drove down to Lin Dyke Hide car park because there is no restrictions, had my dinner and after glanced across the field and ponds at the side with not much about.

Then went to the visitor centre and had my free thirty minutes in the car park. Had a stroll round and spotted Speckled Wood, Comma, Ringlet, Meadow Brown, Gatekeeper, Small Tortoiseshell, Green-vein White, Common Blue and Blue-tailed Damsel, Mallard, Tufted Duck, juv Robin, juv Blue Tit, Black-head Gull, Moorhen, Dunnock, Mute Swan etc. Then my time was up and nipped for a choc ice which almost melted as soon as I came out the centre  and back to the car.

Before the RSPB introduced charges [ due to the new surface of the car park I was told by one of the staff ] I would stay a few hours watching the assorted birds but now I don't as I refuse to pay the £2 to park after the thirty minute time limit. Ah well!

Kind regards

Max
