Parents sprung a surprise trip to Snettisham on me today just after waking!
The highlight was a flock of 12 Egyptian Geese landing while the parents and I walked back to the car. There were Greylag and Canada geese everywhere I looked, with a good couple of thousand of each species.
Lots of Lapwing too, with many Common Tern, Curlew, Redshank etc on the scrapes. 2 Marsh Harrier seen earlier in the day by other birders.
Walked around the whole reserve with scope on my back and now feel utterly exhausted, especially as it was sunny and hot all the time I was there!!!!!
