10.00 - 16.30
A great day in the field in 'fall' conditions.
High-lights included:
Goldcrest 1000's
Redwing 1000's
Song thrush 100's
Robin 100's
Chiffchaffs 100's if not 1000's (record day count for Spurn apparently?)
Pallas's Warbler putting on great show.
Great Grey Shrike 1 (seen eating goldcrest later in day)
Ring Ousel 2
Jack Snipe 2
Siskin 100's (some very tired individuals feeding on roadside dandelion seeds)
Brambling 15
Lesser Redpoll 2
Redstart 5
Wheatear 15
Stonechat 1
Hen harrier 1
Lapland Bunting 1
Brent Goose 20
Fieldfare 2
and a weaver finch species of some sort.
