Lesser Spotted Woodpecker - pair showing well & calling in trees by car park this afternoon.

upto 3 birds present today also med gull on mill lake, the lesser pecker drumming well slightly north of the abbey car park close to the entrance also pair reported drumming on dead birch 250 yds towards lake north off abbey. my first lessers for 5 years and they used to be annual for me, even being on my garden list where they used to like my apple trees in my orchard where used to live. no sign of hawfinch but upto 6 seen around the abbey area earlier, sun shining, good birds and birding also redpoll, siskin and marsh tit , good luck nice little trip and not to far, :D :D
