went on our annual pilgrimage to black grouse country on sunday 27th feb, bitterly cold in the back of beyond but better weather than last year where we had to revise our route due to sheet ice and snow. we had a brilliant count which was the 3rd highest in 12years reversing what was a gradual decline and our best ever total of greyhens. totals were
44 blackcocks
17 greyhens
a long drive but well worth it =D>

then onto teeside to finish of a great day =D>
