Spent 3 days visiting family around the hexham area, impressive countryside and moorland. Birds seen were: 22 Buzzard, 6 Kestrel, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Peregrine, 2 Red Kite, masses of Jackdaw/Rook(incl partial albino jackdaw), Starling, Chaffinch, Siskin, Bullfinch, Goldfinch, Redpoll, Coal Tit, Lapwing & Redshank on territory, 4 Whoopers. Well worth a visit to Hadrians Wall if your in the area. George. |
