Not wanting to be bored by some expensive do in London I spent the day at Rutland Water with Andrew Vaughan (a new member to the forum) We and many others had a cracking day
Highlights were

a pair of osprey in Manton Bay
many swallows , sand & house martins
great spotted woodpecker
green woodpecker
nightingale 2
blackcap
whitethroat
garden warbler
sedge warbler
reed warbler
whitethroat
willow warbler
chiffchaff
egyptian goose
common tern
bar tailed godwit 4
grey plover 2 (both looking stunning)
little ringed plover 10
redshank 2
greenshank 2
dunlin 4
hobby 2
sparrowhawk
kestrel
garganey 1
barnacle goose
goldeneye (male)
little egret
