Weekend trip to Suffolk
25 and 26 June 2011. A total of 95 bird species noted.
Minsmere
Bittern (10 second flight)
Spoonbill 1
Greater Flamingo 1 (escapee from Marwell Zoo)
Spotted Redshank 4 (summer plumage)
Hobby 2
Marsh Harrier 6
Avocet 50+
Nuthatch 1
Barnacle goose 20+
Water Rail 1
Cetti's Warbler 8
Bearded tit 10
Little Egret 3
Med Gull 6
two Norfolk Hawkers (a lifer for me) and a variable damselfly.
Lakenheath RSPB
Golden Oriole heard calling 3 times but not seen (a very long waiting game for all the long-lensed photographers present)
