| Post subject: | missing birds |
Just spent a week walking in the Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria. Plenty of redstarts, dippers, sand martins and a golden plover. But surprised not to hear a single whitethroat or see a little egret. Can anyone suggest a reason? Have little egrets yet to reach that far north? Thought whitethroats would have been seen in the bushes along the lanes and fields. Cheers Geoff |
