Just back from Harewood House, where I decided fresh air and some birding was preferable to walking around a posh house.

While they advertise Red Kites, only saw a couple on road to and from the house. Highlight for me was brilliant sights of Kingfishers, diving, traditional pose on overhanging branch and flying along the water top. Other sightings included:-

Great Crested Grebe
Tufted Duck
Grey Heron
Swallows
Mallard
Mute Swan.

Desperatly wanted to simply sit and watch the Red Kites, but that can be for another day.
