Very enjoyable 3 day visit with wonderful weather
Visited Titchwell with all the usual birds, very crowded with birders, dogs, children, and cyclists. Red Kite overhead as we got out the car.
Holkham woods/deer park,
4 Nuthatch, Treecreeper, GS Woodpecker, Jay and Song Thrush.
2 Visits to Sculthorpe Moor reserve, this was amust after our first visit last year, ( see my previous- A Little Gem in Norfolk)
We had hoped for the Goshawks, but were told when the Marsh Harriers move in, they move out.
3 male and 2 female Marsh Harriers displaying and so close at times, a photographer estimated one shot at a range of 30ft.
Marsh tits and willow tits, Woodpeckers,Buzzards and 4 Red Kite, 2 Pair of Bullfinch in full breeding plumage only 5feet away was a added bonus. 2 Tawny Owls nesting but seen only on the wemcam.
This Hawk and Owl Trust reserve is well worth a visit, added bonus, no dogs allowed.

A leaflet I have about the reserve says that there are a couple of bird feeding stations there - is this still the case?

There are more than 2, although not as big as the titchwell one, distributed about the reserve close to the hides and other locations.
For us humans feeding, we always go to the garden centre located about 1 mile away, you get a excellent lunch.
