Been to most of the hospitals in Leeds but on the 15th May went to a new one for me Wharfedale in Otley. On this occasion I wasn't allowed to drive because I was due to have sedation, so it was nice change to be a passenger. My mate went with me because I needed an escort for safety reasons. He spotted far more than I did but here are the sightings:
Red Kite - 12 Buzzard - 3 Kestrel - 2 Swift - 40+ Swallow/House Martins Goosander - 2 Mute Swans Mallard - 12
At least seeing the kites took my mind off what was to come and my mate said seeing them made our day and I agreed!
Oddly enough all the birds bar the Goosander, Mallard and Mutes were seen going, with very few seen coming home.
Kind regards
John
