A great days birding today: Slavonian Grebe 1 Black-necked Grebe 1 Great Northern Diver 1 Wheatear 1 Whooper Swan 1 Red-breasted Merganser 1 Bittern 1 Red Kite 16 Common Buzzard 13 !!!Snow Bunting 1!!! (Lagoon 4) Smew 7 (a drake) Dunlin 7 Ringed Plover 2 Curlew 5 Green Woodpecker 1 Without knowing about Rutland, you would assume it was near the coast looking at certain species from the list.
