Not sure where to put this note, so hope it's OK here. Medway Council has approved a 5000-home building project on an SSSI in Kent that is home to 84 pairs of Nightingales. Developers say the birds will be "re-homed elsewhere". The RSPB is asking for people to write to Eric Pickles to overturn the decision.
