Just been on Holiday in Derbyshire. On arrival noticed 2 Nuthatches picking around the gravel and stone walls just after the rain stopped. On looking around I realised there was a flock of Nuthatches 12+ joined by Gold finches and Great Tits. they came within 2 feet of the French windows allowing plenty of observation. When we left on Friday morning the birds where still in the nearby trees. The cottage we were staying at was about 275 metres. Only having seen solitary Nuthatches this was great.
