Post subject:  Idle Valley Nature Reserve
Pleasant walk round Idle Valley after 1/2 hour in visitor centre with plenty of birds to be seen.

50 Lapwings
8 Goosander
100 Black Headed Gulls
8 Lesser Black Backed Gulls
6 Great Crested Grebe
Mixed flocks of Blue, Great, Coal and Long Tailed Tits
Kingfisher on side of Bellmoor Lake
3 Common Snipe
1 Jay
1 Greater Spotted Woodpecker
15 Fieldfare
6 Goldcrest
1 Bullfinch
1 Treecreeper
15 Shoveler
12 Shelduck
1 Pintail
1 Little Egret
100 Wigeon
2 Buzzard
2 Grey Heron

Failed to find the reported Smew but had an enjoyable day
