Had a couple of days in Mid-Wales, an area of the country we had never visited before. Really impressed with the area which was stunningly beautiful. We bases ourselves in Aberdovey which gave us fairly easy access to RSPB Ynys-Hir, Cors Dyfi Osprey Project, Aberystwyth, Bwich Nant Yr Arian and Lake Vyrwny before coming home Birds seen included Osprey Water Rail Chiffchaff Red-breasted Merganser Buzzard Blackcap Swallow Great Spotted Woodpecker Redshank Great White Egret Jay Red Kite (50+) Little Egret Raven Willow Warbler Goosander Chough (a lifer) Arctic Tern Rock Pipit Goldcrest |
