Spent the weekend down in Buckinghamshire for a family wedding and did manage to have some time for a visit to the beautiful Waddesdon Manor a National Trust property built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschilds around 150 years ago. It is amazing what money can get you. Very quiet bird wise but did manage to connect with about a dozen spotted flycatchers in a small area. Lots of goldcrest were in the confers. I heard a nuthatch and saw one or perhaps two green woodpeckers. Lots of swallows and house martins were hunting over the lawns. Around the village were four red kite but strangely I never saw one over the extensive grounds of the manor
