I spent a week on Fair Isle in the company of Andrew Chick, Phil Espin and Andy Sims. We flew to Sumburgh on 15th (where we saw a Siberian Stonechat) then to Fair Isle for a 7 nights on 16th. Migrant and vagrant birds were many and it was great to see migration occurring on such an obvious scale all about us as well as good numbers of local species. Birds included

Velvet Scoter (a rarity here where the warden has seen more PGTips!)
