Post subject:  whitburn,south tyneside 28/5/06

nipped up here to see a mate,its a village on the coast between south shields and sunderland,and a stroll around with him and his family plus dogs turned up the following.
300+ herring gull
500+ kittiwake
100 cormorant
20 fulmar
9 razorbill
2 guillemots
1 puffin
2 red throated diver
15 manx shearwaters
all the usual gulls and passerines you'd expect were about as well,i wasn't really birding it was more of a walk to clear a hangover but hey not bad 90 minutes eh?
