Very good views obtained of the Dutch-ringed White Stork:
12.35-12.45 - feeding in a field
12.45-1310 - extended non-stop circling at varying heights over the Morton Grange - Eaton Brecks Farm area, eventually landing out of sight towards Eaton.
Viewed from the minor road NW of Morton Grange ( and c3.5 km W of Eaton).
Viewing point: on minor road at M Ref SK 677785.

Called tothe area onthewaybackfrom hell thismorning
I stopped near the morton grange farm and saw a collection of vehicles, myluck was in Ithowt.Nay,the hunt was ariding,at 7am,to avoid protestors methinks.Turned around and took a leftturnonto ollerton road and relocated the stork just before ordsall SK 698 787.jUST behind retford golf course.I could see it from the road,15 mins, and it strolled over the rise out of sight.Conspicous it was.
The bird is moving south west lads! at this rate it'll be a yellow belly by the weekend!!
