Post subject:  Glaucous winged Gull Carmarthen

The first for Britain ringed in Gloucester in December 2006 (Birding World 20 p13) has turned up this afternoon near Carmarthen. It has a convenient blue ring on it to confirm ID though the piccys show it as pretty distinctive!

Assuming it does not get taken by a Gyr Falcon this afternoon, me and John Clarkson will be leaving Louth at around 4 am tomorrow morning picking up Andy Sims in Lincoln. Our usual fourth man cannot make it so if anyone fancies sharing a lift and can be picked up en route please email me on philip.m.espin@gtuk.com and I will respond by 7pm this evening.
