The White Tailed Plover showed well but distantly at Leighton Moss yesterday to the huge crowds of birders.

Also Bittern, Marsh Harrier and Spoonbill there.

A few miles up the road from there at Warton Crag several butterflies posed well for photos including High Brown, Dark Green and Pearl Bordered Fritillary as well as Northern Brown Argus.

Yes, all of the Birdwatching world will have seen that, apart from people that are away in Texas, Calafonia and other parts of the world except Britain.

I had a good, but not very good view of it. A bit distant. The Plover (or Lapwing) looked base on the back, like the sands of Arizona than pale grey. My father agrees with me.

But, I'm almost sure it will get accepted.

Still no sign today (source www.BirdGuides.com).
