Just returned from a very pleasant weekend away in East Yorkshire, staying in the sticks in a Georgian farmhouse. Peaceful and relaxing. We had a visit to Spurn, didnt venture too far, low tide and downpours that came without warning. Lots of Linnet and Whitethroat but reasonably quiet on the bird front. Had our first sighting of a Garden Tiger Moth, stunning! When the sun did show there were lots of Meadow Brown, Ringlet, Tortoiseshell Butterflies,
We saw lots of Roe Deer and Barn Owls. Lots of Yellowhammer, Goldfinch, Swallow, Swift, House Martins, etc.
Some pics on our blog.
