Just returned from a weeks family holiday in the Rhayader area. Every time you looked up there was a raven, buzzard or red kite overhead. The woods and hedges were full of juvenile redstarts, pied and spotted flycatchers. We went to a kite feeding session and had at least 45 kites in the air at one time. Lots of siskins and redpolls around and a few crossbills over. Went badger watching a couple of nights and had three close up on both nights. Cheers Brian
