Went down to Kent on Sunday for the Green heron and a few other bits and bobs. This bird is definitley worth a visit.Had this bird down to 3m. It wasnt bothered by us being there and flew towards us on several occasions. Later in the day we travelled further east to look for the R F Bluetail which showed well in fading light. All in all a great days birding.

I went down on Friday by train, stayed in a B & B. I woulod recomend anybody going to wear wellington boots, although it is just possible to get around the really muddy patch on the dam by walking around this, but you have to be very, very careful.

B & B cost £35pn, http://www.cornerhouselympne.co.uk/index.html if anybody else from Lincolnshire is thinking of going. Pick up from station. But beware, their phone line is intermittent, best to call their mobile.
