An all day visit to Potteric today to look for the reported Iceland and Caspian Gull's resulted in us getting a flypast by the 1st winter Iceland,but drawing a blank on the Caspian.It no doubt decided to roost at Doncaster Lakeside instead,which it has done on occasion.The following are what else we saw while on site:
1 Bittern(Giving stunning views out in the open on Piper Marsh).
2 Green Woodpecker
19 Bullfinch
710 Black-headed Gull
adult male Peregrine(Observed chasing the local Goldies).
150 Teal
25 Lesser black-backed Gull
21 Herring Gull
