Rufford Park(18th Jan. - 0830/1030)-with the company of a Rufford regular.

Highlights:

6 Hawfinch - perched atop tree in main car park(at 0830); 1(at 1030)
1 Great Spotted Woodpecker
1 Nuthatch(others heard)
Coal Tit
Marsh Tit
1 Water Rail(on small, round artificial island close to path, thus affording excellent views)
1 Red-crested Pochard(f)
6 Siskin
1 Grey Wagtail
2 Redwing

I was also at Rufford this morning (18 Jan).
Hawfinch 1 (around main car park)
Water rail 2 (close views)
Kingfisher 1
Siskin 3
Lesser Redpoll 2
Marsh Tit 4
Nuthatch 2
Treecreeper 1
Pink-footed Goose 2
Grey Wagtail 1
Buzzard 1

and my kids loved watching the cars splashing through the ford there!
