Just a note for beginners like me to say if you get a chance to visit Minsmere GO. Even with my lack of experience (I bought a scope there and now I can CLEARLY see what I can't identify) I managed 74 definite spots, with 5 lifers in marsh tit and siskin (on the feeders!!), Med gull, spotted redshank and bittern. Also heard chiff chaff and Cetti's but I don't count them if I can't see them! Other highlights were tree creeper, stonechat and meadow pipit, and the large number of avocet. Ain't it a great hobby! |
