Wykeham Forest, N Yorks 05.04.2009 From the raptor viewpoint we saw: Goshawk 3 or 4 Peregrine 1 or 2 Sparrowhawk 2 Kestrel 2 Buzzard 3 Other birds: nuthatch, jay, chiffchaff, swallow, siskin, redpoll. Unfortunately, the great grey shrike nearby apparently left a few days earlier. Good to pick-up the waxwings (40+) at Messingham on the way up. Cheers Brian with Ian Higginson |
