Just a note to let you know what I could identify in central Sweden on the 16th 17th 18th and 19th of August. I didn't have my binoculars with me as I was wary of having them in my baggage because of the restrictions due to the terrorist threat
FINSPANG. (A very small and quiet town and the site of a Siemens Gas Turbine factory - the sister factory to Siemens Lincoln)
Blue Tit Great Tit Wood Pigeon Moorhen Mallard Barnacle Goose 24 (each day) Redstart (several) Buzzard (probably) Osprey (definitely) Cormorant Pied Wagtail Common Sandpiper (but to far away to be sure)
NORRKOPING
Swift (on the 18th proving that summer isn't over just yet
STOCKHOLM Plenty of gulls but nothing unusual that I could identify
Several more buzzards on the way to the airport
