Just returned from Agadir on a birding and 'escaping from Christmas' break. Booked a guide from Back 2 Back Tours. Mohamed, a really nice guy. He knew all the places, would recommend him.

We had torrential rain for 5 days. All the roads flooded, some were even washed away. Houses were washed away and locals were killed. It was horrendous. We were stuck on Christmas Eve and couldnt get back to our hotel as the river (the size of the Trent) had come over the bridge. Very scarey.

Anyway, apart from the rain, the birding was fantastic. Highlights were mousiers redstart, bald ibis (Christmas Eve bird) and of course cream coloured coursar which we saw in the Sahara desert on Christmas day.

A very enjoyable birding break. The sun did shine the day before we were due to come home!
