A 4 day Trip to Alicante area of Southern Spain, A non birding trip only birding being done on car journey's and at poolside. From the Pool Hoopoe Serin My first Turtle Dove Collard Dove House Martin Swift Swallow House Sparrow Blackbird Car Journey's Greater Flamingo Little Tern Hoopoe Bee-eater Roller Yellow-legged Gull Audion's Gull Common Tern Black Tern My first EU Black Tern Avocet Red rumped swallow Swift House Martin Swallow Kestrel House Sparrow Wood Pigeon Collard Dove Little Egret Cattle Egret Great White Egret My first Spotted Flycatcher White Wagtail Robin Skylark Whilst on a one of the Market there was an medievil part to it and they had a Bird of prey part, with 2 eagle owls, Peregrine, Barn owl Ferruginous hawk, Harris hawk and the most stunning bird I have ever seen! A male Goshawk I have never seen one before even at bird of Prey centre's and this bird was stunning, being able to get close to the bird and see into it's orange eye was something I will never forget ! An enjoyable Trip might have to go out with my camera there next year for a birding trip Could easily get 100 Birds in 1 week |
