Just got back from a weeks birding holiday with a couple of mates to the coastal area of The Gambia. Can certainly recommend it anyone wanting an introduction to African birds in a safe country where English is spoken. We saw about 225 species which is pretty good so I've been told. My favourites must have been pygmy kingfisher, painted snipe, marshall eagle and green turaco. Will put trip report on one of the major websites soon. Cheers Brian
