The Group’s next trip is on Sunday 20th March when we plan to visit Clumber Park, where hawfinch can be seen, and then Messingham Nature Reserve. This trip would suit walkers as well as birdwatchers because it would be possible to fit in a 4-hour walk at the first site, followed by a 2-hour walk at the second.

Our next meeting is at 7.30pm on Monday 21st March when Peter Holden MBE will give a talk entitled ‘Birds Without Borders’. Peter is a distinguished member of the RSPB who devised the original Big Garden Watch, has worked for the BBC with Bill Oddie and written many books about birds and wildlife. His talk takes place at Corpus Christi Community Centre, corner of Machray Place, Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes.

You do not have to a member of the RSPB to attend the meeting or to go on the trip and you will be most welcome. For more information about the meeting or the trip, contact Martin Francis at martin.francis2@ntlworld.com or (01472) 883436
