Birdtrack App Update

I updated my birdtrack app last week. After a few small issues*, everything appears to be working fine....

One excellent addition to the new app.. is the site creation button, which create a 'real' name and not just a national grid reference number....

I would full recommend that all members using the app, update the program on their phones to the latest edition... (the desktop site is unchanged)....

Andrew

* Install the BTO list, don't use the IOC list....

If this App wasn't free to download I would have to suggest you were on commission Andrew as I have found it useless. Two of the first birds I have tried to enter into the system are not recognised i.e. the Scaup or even the Greater Scaup and the Lesser Redpoll (Common and Artic are). Think I will use my computer version which them but is cumbersome to use

Chris,

My initial issue was with the "Baselist" which you can find and change in settings. Since changing this to "BTO" I've had no problems.

It's far from useless, I'm really happy....

Anyone having issues, please get in touch or talk to me at the AGM tomorrow night....

Andrew

I note that it's average rating on iTunes is 2/5
I can see why. Having updated I see that my year list is smaller on my mobile devices than on my desktop - Feral Rock Dove is not included and Red-throated Diver is counted twice. The maps are much less impressive. It feels clunky
But I guess I'll just have to get used to it and hope they improve it soon?
Looks like a notebook in the field and tech at home is the best way
At least it's free!
John
