Interesting point on the size Steve. I see the Hampshire report is also in this larger format (let's call it A4.5) which does mean the text is easier to read and the photos are larger....

My point exactly John,I find this larger format more comfortable to hold,but obviously this may be just a personal preference.I was in no way trying to detract from all the superb work which has gone into this fantastic production and the cost involved may be too great,I was just stating an opinion.

Magazines such as British Birds and Birding World have changed from A5 to the format you mention Steve so your idea isn't a bad one; it was just unfortunate that this wasn't what you originally stated.
