The Lincolnshire Bird Report 2008 Paul French has volunteered to undertake the task of getting the 2008 Lincs Bird Report published. The bird club committee are very grateful for this offer!! This is a rough contents list which is subject to any changes or ideas that come along for the 2008 Linc's Bird Report. Editorial Chairman's note Review of the year Systematic list Escapes, ferals etc Non-accepted records Non-submitted records List of contributors Rarity accounts - possible accounts are: • Steppe grey shrike • Audouin's gull • Red-flanked bluetails • Wilson's phalarope • Glossy ibis • Roller (if accepted...?) Ringing report Articles Alkborough Flats - a new site for the north Frampton Marsh - a new site for the south Honey Buzzards in 2008 25 Years of Barn Owl Conservation in Lincolnshire The county list People that have signed up to help (Thank you!) with the systematic list so far are: Alex Lees Andy Sims James Siddle Phil Hyde John Badley More help is required (many hands make light work!), especially from the north of the county. Hi Andrew, It may be of interest to readers to show the tetrads in which each species was recorded during 2008, via the dot system, with a separate list for less common birds. Regards......Richard.. |

Thanks for the suggestion Richard, its certainly something i'll look at for at least some species. |
