A wing tagged Juv Red Kite was present on the outskirts of Welton le Marsh this Thursday and Friday. It displayed a white tag on the left wing and a pink tag on the right wing - both tags displayed the number 32. Alan Ball informs me that this bird was ringed by himself as the largest individual in a brood of 3 on June 13th 2009 in the Castle Bytham area.
An adult Red Kite was present at Gib Point today and was observed to feed on a rabbit carcass for about 30 mins before heading west.
