No doubt most of you have heard of the deline in cuckoo numbers,i havent noticed it around MSQ usual numbers e.g. 2-3 birds, this morning i got a letter with a raffle book from the RSPB,the RSPB states the Cuckoo is just one of 18 new species that have been red-listed-in the recently -published report,BIRDS OF CONSEVATION CONCERN 3.,THE REVISED RED LIST NOW INCLUDES LAPWING AND YELLOW WAGTAIL.,good news for some is Stone Curlew,Scottish Crossbill,Bullfinch,Reed Bunting and Woodlark, moving from red to amber. I wonder if any birders have noticed/noted declines in the Cuckoo and other birds in their area. Roger Hebb.
