Siskins are recorded as a rare breeding species in Lincolnshire. The number of juvenile birds recorded in the Market Rasen/Wragby area in the last three years, including those trapped in very juvenile plumage leads me to challenge this assumption. Have any other observers any comments?

Hi

Can certainly agree that there are Siskins in the Wragby area as they have visited my feeders several times this year. Never had them before this year, so they must be on the increase.

Malcolm.

Hi Stuart

I had a female gathering nesting material in a wood near Lincoln in March of this year and, if I recall correctly, 2 males singing. No subsequent observations though.
