With the permission of the Chairman I would like to make any potential applicants aware of the following vacancies for the 2010 breeding season with Manx BirdLife in the Isle of Man. See also countryside job sheet and environmentjob.com advert.

Position: Seasonal fieldworker
Duration: 01 Apr - 31 Jul
Closing date: 26 Feb
Main duties: breeding bird surveys, hen harrier census, veryifying field data and input onto Microsoft Access database. As and when opportunity arises you could assist with ringing of chough and hen harrier.
Main skills: You will need to be of high standard for id by call and song, experience of accurate bird mapping (CBC style), physically fit, self-motivated and keen to work long days with early starts and computer literate.
